— Teen runaway turned grifter, ran afoul of some pretty powerful enemies in her twenties and was picked up by cosmic entity Raíz for the chance to achieve enough power that no one could ever intimidate her again
— Doesn't ever talk about her life pre-deal don't worry about it ok (☉‿☉ ✿ )

— Made her deal approx 24 years ago
— Mentored by Saber Tooth, certified psychopath who was determined to create a little monster just like him
— Saber killed a friend of hers very early on in the mentorship to keep her focused on the work
— Started with very questionable morals to begin with, these days they're all but absent, Ash isn't losing sleep over anything she's asked to do anymore
— Tends to work partnered a lot (support main life)
— Weirdly competitive with Cellar (toxic yuri rival uwu)
— Love/hate relationship with Saber who ~nurtured her gifts~ but also is the most annoying creature alive. They try to kill each other at least once a month, but neither have succeeded (yet).

— POWERS: Siphoner: power absorption, both temporary and permanent
— Briefly able to replicate a siphoned ability and use it offensively but with gross bodily consequences (fuck around and find out emeto edition, she vomits up a whole lot of black sludge as her body forcibly rejects the ability from itself)
— Trained extensively in torture techniques over the years, both giving and receiving; also in hand to hand combat with a heavy focus on lethal force. Ash tends to fight dirty.

— First impressions of her are usually quite positive; she presents as quite outgoing and friendly, can engage socially, can be a bit annoying and has a bad sense of humor
— She skews towards sharp, sarcastic humor and can definitely get too mean without realising it
— Most of her personality is a front put on to gel with a crowd. With only a small handful of notable exceptions, Ash locks down any feelings stronger than mild irritation at most
— Prioritises her work above everything else, has a reputation as a highly reliable partner with a stellar record, not one to balk in the face of moral complications
— Doesn't have friends outside of the group of people all signed up with Raíz anymore, lives at the house that some of them share and tends not to interact with people outside of their crew very much
